Privacy Policy

Effective September 7, 2026

90 Degrees is provided by KR Labs. This policy explains what the 90 Degrees iPhone app processes, what stays on your iPhone, and how a voluntary support request is handled.

Data collection

KR Labs does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data through the 90 Degrees app. The app has no accounts, advertising, analytics, tracking, or third-party data-collection SDKs.

Camera, AR, and motion

Camera frames, AR world-tracking data, and motion samples are processed on your iPhone to detect visible object edges, estimate distance, and reject measurements while the phone is moving. In Hang a frame and Preview on wall, photos and crops stay in memory unless you explicitly save an approved front crop. Unsaved images are discarded when the session closes. Original captures, back photos, wall geometry and sensor samples are not saved to disk, added to Photos, or sent.

Information stored on your iPhone

If you enable Learn from my confirmations, the app stores bounded counts of chosen object types grouped by coarse shape and border evidence. These preferences improve similar-shape suggestions; they contain no photos, tracking identifiers, positions, sensor recordings, or calibration. They are not uploaded and do not recognize an individual object. Learning is off by default.

Bubble level uses motion sensors with the camera off. Its contact corrections remain in memory and are cleared when you close Bubble level.

90 Degrees stores your selected item type and app preferences locally. If you save a calibrated item, it also stores the label you enter, item type, approximate physical-size fingerprint, calibration values, capture-quality details such as the algorithm version, iPhone hardware class, sample count, duration, and creation or update dates. This information stays in the app’s local storage and is not sent to KR Labs.

Retention and deletion

Turn learning off in Preferences to stop using and updating learned suggestions, or choose Reset learned suggestions to remove those counts without changing saved photos, profiles, projects, or calibration. Otherwise the counts remain until reset or the app is uninstalled.

If you choose Save this frame photo on this iPhone, the app stores the approved front crop, a thumbnail, its name and crop revision, dimensions and their source/verification status, and optional measured hardware coordinates. These bounded files are excluded from device backups. Original EXIF/location metadata and AR anchors are not saved. Nothing is uploaded or added to Photos. Open Saved frame photos from Hang a frame or Preview on wall, swipe the frame left and choose Delete to remove its crop, thumbnail and measurements. VoiceOver also offers Delete frame photo.

Saved items remain on your iPhone until you delete them. Touch and hold an item in Saved items, then choose Delete saved item. Uninstalling 90 Degrees removes the app’s remaining local data. Camera and Motion & Fitness access can be changed at any time in iPhone Settings.

If unreadable saved-item data is detected, 90 Degrees asks before resetting the live list and can keep an on-device backup of the original. That backup remains local and is removed when the app is uninstalled.

Support requests

If you choose Share measurements in the app, the system share sheet passes the text plan to the app or recipient you select. The plan contains frame dimensions and hole offsets, not photos or sensor recordings.

If you voluntarily email KR Labs or submit this website’s support form, you provide the information in that message, such as your name, email address, and support request. KR Labs uses it only to respond to you. The form is delivered by FormSubmit to the KR Labs support inbox; FormSubmit’s handling is subject to its own terms and privacy practices.

Changes and contact

KR Labs may update this policy when 90 Degrees’ features or data practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version. For privacy questions or support, email rassoulikas@gmail.com or use the support form.
